| Roberta Gale has
spent 24 years on the radio in San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami,
Cleveland, Baltimore, New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Washington
D.C., and Tucson, and is currently a talk host for KFYI/Phoenix.
She was nationally syndicated by the Westwood One Radio Networks,
has hosted talk shows for the ABC Radio Networks, and written
for national comedy program providers American Comedy Network
and All Star Radio. She’s also spent three years working
in television production. This experience “in the trenches”
means Roberta has direct knowledge of what makes an interview
great and profitable, and can share that knowledge with you
along with other “insider” media secrets.
Roberta has won several awards for her on-air
work, including Talkers magazine’s “100 Most Important
Talk Show Hosts in America,” and reporting awards from
the Associated Press. Over the past few decades, she has interviewed
thousands of people from Cher to Jesse Jackson. Roberta has
been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post,
The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Miami Herald, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution,
The Cleveland Plain Dealer, and The Arizona Daily Star, as
well as numerous television programs. An award-winning writer
and poet, Roberta’s work has appeared in Radio and Records,
The Baltimore Sun, The Arizona Republic, The Jewish Post,
The Tucson Citizen, The Publishers Marketing Association newsletter,
The Nonprofit Communications Report, and The Self-Published
Authors newsletter, among others, and is a contributing writer
for “Talkers” magazine, the leading trade publication
for talk radio and television. Roberta’s professional
background also includes work as a news anchor/reporter, magazine
editor, actress, singer, stand-up comic and comedy writer.
Roberta holds Bachelor’s and Master’s
degrees with honors in Radio-TV and Journalism from the University
of Arizona, and a degree in Environmental Studies from Johns
Hopkins University. She has also studied creative writing,
acting, and improvisation for many years.
